Lifting Learning is...

Safer Class Sizes

Large class sizes are especially problematic when students are required to work with a range of potentially hazardous materials, or where the equipment and environment is potentially dangerous or limited.

Safety concerns for students and staff in areas such as Manual Arts, Food Technology and Science Laboratories can be minimised by putting class size limits in place.

Fewer students allows better classroom management and the quality of learning is improved as students have more time using equipment.

Smaller class sizes also provide a general benefit to students by allowing for more one-on-one teacher attention
